Local 117 Member - Congratulations on your Retirement!
However you are spending your salad days - whether you are golfing, fishing, volunteering or just puttering around the house - we hope you are enjoying every moment.
This page is designed as a resource for you and your families. If you are a Local 117 retiree and need access to information not included on this page, please contact the Teamsters Local 117 main office at 206-441-4860 or 1-888-872-3489.
Teamsters Retiree Club
The General Teamsters Retirees Club (GTRC) is made up of the retirees and spouses of Locals 38, 174, 117, and 763. Annual dues are 10 dollars. Your Local Union has paid your first years dues in the club.
Your GTRC hosts a luncheon the second Wednesday of each month starting at 11:30 AM. One exception is August when we sponsor a golf tournament in lieu of a lunch. The golf tourney is a fundraiser for our college scholarship program to aid the children and grandchildren of Teamster active and retired members.
Our club also has a yearly Thanksgiving and Christmas gift-card plan wherein we give needy Teamster families gift cards redeemable at local supermarkets. Our luncheons are accompanied by a short business meeting, a topical guest speaker (or speakers), prizes and entertainment.
Your GTRC has an E-board of 7 volunteers. We meet once a month to discuss finances and club business. So join us for lunch when you can. You may meet some old friends, or make some new ones. Most of the information you need will be in our monthly newsletter sent to your residence. Stay involved in life, and don't forget to eat your vegetables!
