RECYCLE AND YARD WASTE DRIVERS UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZE STRIKE!
Teamster recycle drivers from Allied Waste/Republic and Waste Management unanimously voted to authorize a strike over the weekend. Over 150 drivers, represented by Teamsters Local 117, met on Saturday, May 12, at the Teamsters Union hall in Tukwila for a contract update. Read More...
TEAMSTERS DENOUNCE MISERABLE WORKING CONDITIONS AT AMAZON WAREHOUSES
Teamsters 117 joined with other unions and community members at a rally at the Amazon headquarters in Seattle yesterday to call for an immediate improvement to wretched working conditions at Amazon warehouses. Amazon warehouse workers from Pennsylvannia attended the event and spoke of warehouse temperatures that soared above 115 degrees. Read More...
